BEAUTIFUL DOORS
FROM THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT
OF THE COLLEGE OF SAINT TERESA
FOR SALE
SEE PICTURES BELOW
Cotter Staff have been busy cleaning out storage areas, and trying to re-use or repurpose things that they will not be using, even selling things on e-Bay! One of the UNIQUE FINDS in a storage room in Saint Cecilia Hall were THREE MUSIC DOORS.
You will notice that there are three doors – one for VERDI, one for GARCIA, and one for GOUNDOD.
What are the potential uses? Obviously you could re-use it as a door (right now some have the tracks on it for a pocket door) but you could put hardware on it for an actual door). Or, you could cut the wood around the glass and hang it on the wall like a framed glass art piece. Or, you could take the door (or use most of it) and make it into a coffee table. Or, there are so many other possibilities!!! The doors are solid wood and are very heavy. This would have to be a purchase that you could haul away in a trailer / pickup truck, wrapped carefully. Might have to be someone in the “local” area that would make the purchase, but I thought you’d all want an opportunity.
If you are interested in purchasing one of these doors, please contact Sr Reg McKillip at Cotter: 507-453-5000 or email:
Any reasonable offers will be considered. The money would go to: COTTER SCHOOLS for upkeep of the beautiful theater building. You would be making a contribution to a building that holds so many memories for you (including the long hours practicing your musical instruments)!
Please consider a piece of history, YOUR Teresan heritage, that you could share with your family. What an amazing gift to yourself!
If you have any questions, please call me ….. cell: 507-429-6784.
PS The Music Doors (VERDI, GARCIA, & GOUNDOD) will be displayed at Saint Cecilia Theatre THIS WEEKEND during our CST reunion. We will have them on the Main Floor just outside the theater where our afternoon presentation and awards will be held, starting at 2:30 pm. Please join us!
Did you have a great time? Relive it on CD or DVD!
Couldn't make it to Centennial? View it on CD or DVD!
The 2008-2009 dues mailing included an order form for the CD or any of the DVDs. Please contact the Alumnae Office if you need one. You can also go to this link: Centennial CD-DVD Order Form
