Addressing Teresans for the first time was a member of the class of 1979, Teresa Rhodes McGee. In her book Transforming Trauma, Teresa wrote of the importance of “honoring the memory” of one’s past. Teresa helped us honor the memory of the College of Saint Teresa in her presentation, “Teresa’s Daughters: Women of Faith and Action.”
Teresa did her research on Teresa of Avila while at Fordham University. She is proud to note that a Teresan Scholarship helped fund that work. Teresa is currently Director of the Transforming Trauma Inititative at the Garrison Institute, a retreat/study center linking personal contemplation with social action.
